Generally speaking, for an institution or a trust to be a charity, it must be established for purposes which are exclusively charitable according to law. If the objectives of the company is not-for-profit and for charities etc.., we may assist for in the application for approved charitable institution (" ACI ") and incorporate the company limited by guarantee for such purpose. We are having some different approaches for non-profit motive clients to choose from in relation to his/her needs.

• (a) formation of company limited by guarantee;
• (b) application for ACI with company formation;
• (c) application for ACI by existing company / organisation

The processing time of an application for ACI takes about 4-6 months, dependent on the information provided by and responsed time from client. Company formation takes about 1 month to complete.

For reason of length time involved in the application, some clients, in urgency in tender or in cooperation of some projects with other NPOs, may choose to form the company ("a") and apply for the ACI ("c") at the same time. If it is not in urgency, application for ACI with company formation ("b") may be the cheapest and steady method to choose from.

For some clients with activities of Foundation, Association or Society, would like to have its company name to dispense with "Limited", we may help in the application.

Upon successful approved as ACI, we may further assist clients in the areas of corporate services (like company secretarial services or maintenance of registeres...), accountancy and bookkeeping services, branding the company, general consultancy and arrangement of statutory audit of the company's accounts.
